It is approx. a 10 minute walk from world-renowned historic structures of Sultanahmet Square (sometimes spelled Sultan Ahmet Square, or in Turkish Sultanahmet Meydan¿): the monuments of the Hippodrome of Constantinople, the Hagia Sophia basilica, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) or Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and to the east Topkap¿ Palace. The Museum of Archeology and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art are both worth visiting. A'lâ House is within walking distance of a tram station on Çemberlita¿ Square that provides transportation to the rest of the city.
